The fitting stays an electrical fitting
The customer switches the fitting off at the wall and it must be cool before cleaning starts. This is not electrical isolation and the work does not become electrical work. We do not touch wiring, repair fittings, replace globes or work on a fitting that appears loose, damaged or unsafe.
Sealed, fragile or decorative fittings are assessed before they are included. If safe cleaning would require electrical disassembly or restoration work, that fitting stays out of scope.
