Yes. Extractor fan, exhaust fan, vent fan, ceiling vent: same unit, same job, which is pulling damp or greasy air out of the room. Australian installers and manuals usually say exhaust fan and plenty of people say extractor fan. Whichever you call it, we clean the cover, the blades and the housing behind it, and refit it.

Do you do kitchen rangehood fans too?
Yes. Rangehood fans collect grease as well as dust, so they take longer than a bathroom fan: mention it when you book so we can allow the time. Why does my bathroom stay steamy?
Usually because the exhaust fan is clogged. Once the cover greys over and the blades behind it cake up, the fan moves a fraction of the air it should, so steam hangs around after every shower and condensation settles on the walls and ceiling. A clean clears the blockage and the room dries out faster. There's a two-second test for it on our bathroom exhaust fan cleaning page. If the fan is broken rather than blocked, cleaning won't fix it, and we'll tell you if that's what we find.
Do you repair exhaust fans?
No, cleaning only. We don't do motors, wiring or replacements, so a fan that won't spin at all needs an electrician. If it runs but doesn't pull air, the cause is usually dust and grease choking the blades, and a clean fixes that. If we spot a fault while we're in there, we'll point it out.
Are you insured?
Yes, fully insured, with the certificate available on request. Exhaust fan cleaning means ladders in bathrooms and kitchens and covers coming off above vanities and benches, so it matters that any damage on the job would be covered. We refit every cover and leave the area clean before we go.
