High ceilings, raked ceilings and stairwell fans
A lot of Darwin homes have a raked ceiling over the living area, a fan on a long drop rod above a stairwell, or a void that puts the blades three or four metres up. Those are the fans that never get done, because a household ladder does not safely reach them and nobody wants to try.

How much for ceiling fan cleaning in Darwin?
$149 fixed for up to 5 ceiling fans, $199 for 6–8, and $259 for 9 or more. No call-out fee, and the price doesn't change when we arrive. Every booking also includes one free exhaust fan cleaning (normally $35), and extra exhaust fans are $30 each on the same visit.
How often should I clean ceiling fans in Darwin?
Most Darwin homes are due every 6 to 12 months. Through the build-up and wet season, humidity makes dust cling to the blades and turn greasy, so fans that run day and night get dirty sooner. If you can see a ridge of dust along the top of each blade from the floor, the fan is overdue.
Do you clean the light too?
Yes, where there's a light fitted to the fan we clean it in the same visit at no extra charge. The housing and motor cage get wiped down as well, so the whole unit looks right from below, not just the blades. The before-and-after photo of each fan shows you the difference.
Do you repair or balance fans?
No, cleaning only. We don't touch motors, wiring, balancing or repairs, so a fan with an electrical fault needs an electrician. Worth knowing, though: a lot of wobble and noise comes from dust caked unevenly on the blades, and a proper clean often settles it. If it doesn't, at least you'll know the problem isn't grime.
Can you clean mould off ceiling fans?
Yes. The surface mould and mildew that shows up on blades and housings through Darwin's wet season comes off in a standard clean. Every blade is degreased and wiped top and bottom, so the grey speckle and the sticky film go together. What we don't do is mould remediation: mould inside walls or ceiling cavities needs a specialist, and we'll tell you if we see something a clean won't fix.
